Some people would be forgiven for believing that buying locally sourced produce is a new and innovative approach to business. Here at Suffolk Meat Traders we've been sourcing and selling locally since 1954 developing strong ties with the local meat trade and local livestock producers.

Orginally founded by local Suffolk butchers, the Company was set up to supply and support the local meat trade with top quality product on a regular basis. We continue to work closely with livestock producers around East Anglia ensuring we supply only the finest quality, locally sourced beef, pork, lamb and poultry for our customers.

From our EU licensed plant in Elmswell we are able to supply quality meats to retail butchers and meat processors. We also have a subsidiary company, Hundred River Foods, who supply to the food service sector.

For over 60 years we have built a reputation for quality and service and have established a loyal customer base.

Meat supply throughout East Anglia & beyond

Suffolk Meat Traders can supply a full range of quality beef, pork, lamb and poultry from our fully EC licensed cutting plant, to your specifications. We deliver throughout most of East Anglia, two to three times per week and we are able to deliver nationally via specialist cold chain logistic companies.

Dingley Dell Pork are based in the Deben Valley and are one of the few 'Ambassador Farms' for the RSPCA's Freedom Foods scheme. Dingley Dell produces pork with fantastic flavours due to the carefully selected breeds of pig raised, high welfare standards, a balanced diet and lifestyle.

Owners Mark and Paul Hayward and Suffolk Meat Traders have worked together since 2000 to develop their Dingley Dell Pork concept. This close partnership ensures the excellence of the product reaching the market place. Consistent weight, size and probe make it ideal for the trade, while it's wonderful taste makes it ideal for the consumer. And being welfare friendly, Freedom Food approved and local, it has great ethical credentials. Perfect for those customers who have a greater awareness of how their food has been produced from farm to plate.

Dingley Dell pork is available in side, primal and boneless cuts. But the best news of all is that for such a superior product it's available at a very reasonable price.
